Unleashing Potential: A Journey with CLG Nashville

Unleashing Potential: A Journey with CLG Nashville

In the days of yore, career paths were often rigidly defined by skills and education, with individuals spending decades in a single industry or even with a single company.

However, today’s landscape is vastly different, offering abundant opportunities and the flexibility to transfer skills across diverse industries.

Reflect on the Baby Boomers of the preceding generation, and you’ll likely find job histories spanning 20+ years in the same field. Fast forward to the present, where entry-level positions and on-the-job training are commonplace, opening doors to exciting new career possibilities.

My personal journey commenced at the age of 18 when I embarked on a healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). After five years, I realized the toll this profession could take on my mental and physical well-being. Driven by a desire for a better income and the ability to care for others more comprehensively, I transitioned to nursing school, completing an LPN program in just one year.

However, after practicing as a nurse for two years, I found myself in a career crisis. I yearned to provide holistic care, unbound by restrictive systems.

Despite the apparent contrast, the essence of my work remained consistent:

  1. Relationship Building and Passion for Wellbeing: Whether with families and patients or candidates and customers, the focus remains on building meaningful connections and advocating for the wellbeing of others.
  2. Communication Skills: From coordinating with families and care teams to liaising with candidates and customers, effective communication remains a cornerstone.
  3. Solution-Oriented Approach: Adapting to a fast-paced setting, I now work swiftly on my feet to ensure optimal experiences for candidates and clients.
  4. Data Tracking and Compilation: The ability to track and compile data for desired outcomes persists, albeit in a different context.

Transitioning industries brought invaluable gains and discoveries:

  • Leveraging strengths and weaknesses
  • Unleashing creativity
  • Limitless opportunities for upward mobility
  • Performance-based income and bonuses
  • Partnership in business with guidance and coaching
  • A fun and uplifting work environment fostering mutual success

My biggest takeaway: To care for others, one must prioritize self-care for the best version of oneself.

In conclusion, if you’re contemplating a career change, take the plunge! Your skills are valuable in diverse contexts, and at CLG Nashville, we celebrate the uniqueness each team member brings. Embrace change, align with your purpose, and bet on yourself to dive into the unknown for greatness.
